    The Division of Vascular Surgery is looking for an experienced, dynamic, team-oriented Vascular Surgeon to help be a part of a comprehensive, fully integrated endovascular program to serve one of the largest patient populations with peripheral vascular disease in Canada. The successful candidate will have the skills and training to provide  advanced endovascular and be able to provide the full spectrum of vascular care including EVAR, open aneurysm repair, carotid interventions, diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions, dialysis access surgery, non-invasive vascular assessment and treatments for venous disease.   Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits.

    Job Qualifications
    The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario and hold Fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. The position requires excellent communication skills in English.  Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.

    Full Time Vascular Surgery Locum Position - Guelph General Hospital 

    Guelph General Hospital Level 2 Regional Vascular Program is seeking an RCPSC-certified Vascular Surgeon to join our growing team in Guelph, Ontario. This is a one year locum position to fill an absence starting in 2026. Start time is flexible depending on candidate availability. The locum candidate may subsequently apply for an additional Full Time permanent position planned for July 2027. 

    As a key member of our medical team, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of  experienced Vascular Surgeons  to provide regional care to the city and surrounding communities.  Expected call is one in 5.  Catchment population is approximately 1 million people.  We cover the entire region of Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and surrounding areas.  

    The applying candidate needs to be proficient in: EVAR, open AAA, hybrid vascular procedures, CEA, limb salvage, peripheral bypass surgery, dialysis access, & endovascular procedures.

    This position is a full time position.

    Position Highlights:

    • Access to turn key endovenous outpatient facility

    Qualifications:

    The Department of Surgery is seeking a full-time Vascular Surgeon to service both sites. The successful candidate will be working with a strong, supportive, and collegial team in a two-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services. This exciting opportunity provides the chance to join our recently designated Level 3 Vascular Program.

    Education – Certification – License

    • Ability to work Independent or provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligibility for licensure, is required.
    • Completion of post graduate training in Vascular Surgery.
    • Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCSC) in Vascular Surgery.
    • Canadian Medical Protection Association or equivalent in good standing.
